The Christmas Blog

Tonight Maggie arrived back in Boston after her marathon 15-day 5-state 2008 Christmas tour. She visited relatives in Texas, Illinois, and Indiana, visited friends in Tennessee, and crossed the Mighty Mississippi to fly in and out of Missouri (we're not even counting a quick dinner stop in Kentucky). Overall, Maggie had a great Christmas and was delighted to spend so much time with her grandparents, aunt and uncle, cousins, great-Grandad, great-aunts, and so many other family members. She hopes that all of her future Christmases are this merry!

Maggie and Jack

Maggie made a swing through Nashville yesterday to meet her new friend Jack Yarbro, only three weeks old. Maggie and Jack aren't quite sure what Christmas is, but they are both excited for it.

Maggie on Vacation

We're on our way to Indiana, and won't have any internet for a while. So here's a photo update of Maggie's vacation. She's been enjoying herself, although she seems to have caught a cold from one of her friends or cousins. It had to happen sometime - it just means she has a hard time sleeping in her crib because her nose is stuffed up (so she sleeps with me)!
Here are some of Maggie's adventures so far:
Being loved/tortured by her cousins!
Lounging with Quigley!

Falling asleep while playing with her toys!

And getting ready to head to the zoo with her friends Josh and Lillie (Maggie slept through the entire zoo trip)!

For Daddy

Bill is very sad that he missed Maggie's two month birthday.
Here are some snapshots from the day to tide him over!

Santa

Maggie made it through her first picture with Santa! Amazingly, all four children were happy to take a picture with him. Jake isn't so great at smiling on command, as you can see below. That is what he did when we asked him to smile!

Travels to Texas

Maggie and I left for Texas on Saturday. Maggie slept through both flights - she made travelling with a baby seem easy (don't worry, we have three more flights in this trip - we'll see if she keeps up with her stellar record)!

Maggie was excited to meet her cousins. They were, in my sister's words, "over-interested" in Maggie, as you can see below! Maggie may have been a bit overwhelmed, but they definitely kept her engaged!
