Long Time, No Post - Weeks 19, 20, and 21

Lots of growth in the past few weeks! My stomach is very obviously growing (see below!) and at 21 weeks, the baby is already 10.5 inches long, and weighs 12 ounces.

I can also feel the baby kick all the time now! It usually happens in the late evenings - hopefully she'll get her days and nights worked out at some point - before she's born!
I have another appointment tomorrow - should be uneventful, but it's always really exciting to hear the heartbeat!

It's A .....

GIRL!!!

We found out this morning, on Mother's Day. The ultrasound tech wrote the information on three pieces of paper and put it in three envelopes. We sent one to each of our mothers, and all opened the envelopes on Mother's Day.

Bill and I are really excited - although we would have been really excited either way! It's fun to know, though!

17 Weeks and 18 Weeks

17 Weeks - A turnip!

Vacation Sampling

Here's a quick sample of some vacation pictures - we had such a wonderful time!

So here I am at the Guinness Brewery. Of course I didn't drink any of that Guiness, but Bill thought the picture was really funny! Did you know that they used to prescribe Guiness to nursing moms - to build their strength after delivery!

Italy was absolutely incredible. Lots and lots and lots of stairs! But the scenery was amazing, the food was fantastic, and we loved it! Plus, anyone who learns you are pregnant is super-nice - they love the "bambino."

This was our first day in Riomaggiore - what a perfect little town!

We took a day trip to Portofino - the heart of the Italian Riviera. The yachts were huge and the villas incredible (from the outside at least). Once we win the lottery, we're definitely buying a villa there - you're all welcome to come visit!

16 Weeks - An Avocado in Italy!

Here is the 16 Weeks picture - taken from our balcony in Riomaggiore, Italy. We stayed in the same town for a week, and it was an incredible town! The coastal towns are built into the hillside, so we walked up and down a lot of hills and stairs. Not bad for a pregnant lady!

15 Weeks - An Apple in Ireland

Here is the 15 weeks picture. The baby is supposedly the size of an apple. We were in Dublin, and Bill wanted me to take the picture outside, so it could show part of Dublin, but it was WAY too cold, so this is in our hotel room!
