2009
What a year it has been! Maggie has gone from baby to toddler, progressing from sedentary, to rolling over, to sitting, to crawling, to walking, to running around the house and the neighborhood. We can't wait to see what changes are in store for 2010!

Merry Christmas
"Come, come Savior tonight, lower your wings around us,
Over the turmoil and strife of the world,
Over the grief and the sighs in our breast,
Over the ancient now gone to rest,
Over the young who are building their nest!
Come, come Savior tonight, lower your wings around us!

Grandparents Galore
Maggie has enjoyed spending a great deal of time with her Grandparents this month. First Grammy and Grandad visited from Texas a few weeks back and celebrated an early Christmas. They even had the pleasure of being Maggie's roommates for the weekend! Then Maggie spent last weekend with her Grandma while her parents stole away a weekend alone in New York (and remembered what it was like to spend a relaxing Sunday morning with only the Times and some pastries for company). And, of course, Grandpa has been stopping by for his weekly bagel with Maggie. Maggie's a very lucky girl to be able to spend so much time with all of her loving Grandparents!

Christmas Tree
Upon spotting the Christmas tree in our apartment for the first time yesterday morning, Maggie's initial reaction was to bring over her two trusty puppies so that all three of them could have a better look. Fortunately, she hasn't been too focused on the tree and - with a few exceptions, one of which is depicted below - she hasn't pulled off too many ornaments so far.

Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Just like last year, we are so thankful for our little Maggie Rose. She makes us laugh every day, we marvel at her constant busy-ness, and we love her more and more all the time!
Our Thanksgiving day was fantastic - we enjoyed an amazing meal with family, and Maggie was in heaven, being showered with attention, petting a real dog (poor Bailey, he didn't have such an exciting day - one year olds are not very gentle), lounging on dragons, and playing the piano. She even enjoyed some turkey and squash. The cranberries, not so much!

Charlottesville
Maggie visited Charlottesville this past weekend, and she was quite impressed by the lovely Fall weather and the Jeffersonian architecture. Her parents caught up with some old friends and had a blast at a wedding in the beautiful countryside. Added bonus: Maggie napped for almost the entirety of three of our four flights.

Emerald Necklace
Today was beautiful and sunny, and we took a nice long stroll along Olmsted Park, Jamaica Pond, and the Arnold Arboretum. Maggie is hoping that there are a few more weekend days like this left in the Autumn.
