5 Year Old Trip

Maggie's grandparents brought her cousin Madelyn up to Boston (and to the Cape) for her Five Year Old Trip. Maggie had so much fun with Maddie - she loved having a big kid around. The girls went to the Children's Museum, visited the sandbox at the park (multiple times), and just played together all weekend long.
Maggie was very sad when we told her we couldn't arrange for her to have a big sister.

(Last post for a while, I promise. I just needed to catch up!)

Here's Maggie at 7 months. She is ready to be on the move!

Outgrowing Her Toys...

Maggie has enjoyed this toy from the very beginning, but I think it might be finally time to retire the playmat.

7 months old, and reading on her playmat!

$1.99

This $1.99 ball from CVS is Maggie's very favorite toy right now.

She is hysterical when she plays with it (as you can see from the "crazy eyes" below)! Looks like we don't need to buy any more fancy toys for our girl!

Mother's Day

In preparation for Mother's Day, Maggie had her first fingerpainting experience, painting pictures for Grammy, Grandma, and Aunt Patty. It was fun, but mostly she wanted to play with the paper (especially the newspaper on the floor), not the paint. We'll keep trying - eventually she'll get the right idea!

We had a wonderful first Mother's Day. Maggie makes being a mom pretty easy and wonderful every day, though!

The Berkshires

Maggie spent last weekend in the Berkshires with her parents, her parents' friends Scott and Crystalle, and her brand-new friend Louise. Maggie went hiking, relaxed by the river, sat by the fire, and had her first experience on a swingset. Altogether, a perfect weekend.
