Halloween

Maggie the Lobster was a big hit this Halloween. She had a great time going to parties and trick-or-treating on Beacon Hill.

Emerald Necklace

Today was beautiful and sunny, and we took a nice long stroll along Olmsted Park, Jamaica Pond, and the Arnold Arboretum. Maggie is hoping that there are a few more weekend days like this left in the Autumn.

Hand Fruit

Maggie sees apple. Maggie chomps apple. All is well. But it was a little weirder when she decided to do the same thing with a lime.

Stopping to Smell the Flowers

Be sure to turn up the volume to hear Maggie's faux smelling noises.

Birthday Party

On Saturday, we celebrated Maggie's first birthday with family and friends at a local neighborhood playground. Maggie enjoyed her first taste of cake and, thanks to the wind, was not even called upon to blow out the candle. Back at the apartment, Maggie enjoyed playing with all of her new presents as well as the paper in which they were wrapped. It was a great end to a birthday weekend that included a visit from Texas by her Grandparents and Cousin Jake, breakfast with the Barnum & Bailey elephants, a trip to the Aquarium, and her very first carousel ride.

Happy Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday, Maggie! What a fun year this has been!

Sweet side note: In these pictures, Maggie is wearing a dress I wore when I turned one!
However, I was a summer baby, so she can't wear it outside on this chilly Boston day!

Running the Bases at Fenway

Maggie headed to Fenway today along with her parents, her Uncle John, and John's girlfriend Cheyanne to catch the last game of the regular season. She enjoyed watching the Sox homer five times (including a grand slam) on their way to their 95th win of the season. After the game, kids were invited onto the field and Maggie "ran" the bases, fulfilling a lifelong dream. It took her a bit longer than the bigger kids, but she made it all the way to home plate.
