June Fun

We've been taking advantage of the nice weekend weather and our newfound mobility (we finally broke down and brought a car into the city). We've gone to the beach each of the last two weekends and were surprised when Maggie charged right into the water and started splashing around. We also visited a local farm last weekend, where Maggie picked strawberries (more ended up in her mouth than her basket), high-fived Elmo, and took her first pony ride -- much to her delight. The caurosel down the street from us is a poor substitute, but Mags doesn't seem to mind -- she rode it three times yesterday alone.

Poor August Abely...

I feel so delinquent - this week was the very first time we've taken an actual "belly shot' of this pregnancy, and I'm 31 weeks pregnant. Second children can be so neglected, but they turn out fine, right? I mean, I'm the second kid, and look at me!? Exactly.

So here I am - getting bigger all the time. This baby moves around like crazy, mostly in the evening and when I go to bed at night. I feel like she is all fists and knees and feet and elbows, but it's fun to be forced to stop and pay attention to this little one, in our otherwise very busy and Maggie-filled life!

Banner Day

For those of you who have tracked Maggie's progression from her bald-as-a-bowling-ball days last summer, to her mullet this spring, you'll recognize that this is a big day.  Maggie went to school in two little pigtails, and is so proud of them!  As she will tell you, she's a "biggirl."
