I'm one day overdue, and still pregnant! But surely this can't last forever.
I'll post my 40 week picture tonight - I'm getting gigantic. In fact, an old man asked me on the escalator up to work this morning if I was going to have the baby on the way up because "wow, you are huge!" I humored him because of his age - if he'd been younger, I might not have smiled so sweetly.
I think I've reached a point in the pregnancy where the crazies come out to talk to me. I've been getting comments (usually a blessing or a "good luck") from homeless people for a while, but last night's dinner was an all-time best.
We went out to Neptune Oyster for lobster rolls (amazing!) to celebrate the "due date." The restaurant is really crowded, so you can't help but interact with the people to either side of you. Not once, but twice last night, women - remember, they are total strangers - asked me the following two questions: (1) Are you having the baby at a hospital or at home?; and (2) Are you planning on a natural childbirth?
I couldn't believe it - those were pretty personal questions! I answered honestly - NO, we'd have to be crazy to have the baby at home, and yes, I'm planning to try to have a birth without drugs, but I'll have to see how it goes. There sure are some nosy people out there, though!
We'll try to post as soon as possible after the baby's born. Or, if I continue to stay pregnant next week when I'm not working, I may be posting all the time out of boredom!

We're in Mexico, but all Crystalle can think about (between copious amounts of mocktails) is when will Ocober Abely rear her little head. All of our best to you both!!
