Maggie-isms

Maggie is hysterical these days.  She says so many things that we vow to write down, but usually forget.  Here are a few we remember:

  • Cagi and Dida, her imaginary friends.  She talks about them multiple times a day.  They live "so far away," but are going to visit soon.  We ask her questions about them, and have learned the following facts: they are "big girls," they also go to school, but not her school, and they do not have hands (We can't claim to understand. When you ask how they eat, she says, nonchalantly, "with no hands.").  She occasionally knocks on the door or wall and says, "Knong, Knong. Who's there, Cagi?  It's Maggie."
  •  Starlight, Starbright.  When we say the rhyme, she always reveals what she wished for.  And it is always "Blue Pizza."
  • Molly.  She regularly tells me to bring Molly to the floor so she can "teach her how to walk."  She also pretends to eat Molly's legs or cheeks, and says she tastes like cookies.  Maggie says since Molly is a baby, she can only "eat my mommy" (nursing) and eat pears (because I let Molly suck on a slice of pear the other day).  The sweetest thing is when she tells a fussing Molly, "It's okay Molly.  Maggie's here.  You a good baby."  She's a great big sister.
  • Kisses.  Maggie has an intricate kissing scheme that must be carried out at bedtime.  She asks for the following kisses: cheek, cheek, forehead, hair, chin, neck.  If she's feeling silly, she adds on ears and the back of her neck.  When she gives Molly the kissing routine, she stops after chin because "you can't find Molly's neck."  (she's right, Molly's neck is hidden deep in rolls of skin!)
I know there are more, but I can't remember them tonight - we'll try to remember to post them from time to time for your reading enjoyment!
