Today began with more rain but the sun soon took over. We explored Amalfi some more, enjoyed some espresso and sfogliatelle (a citrus-based pastry we've come to love in the North End), and had some stellar pizza at San Giuseppe. In the afternoon, we walked to Atrani, the town next door, which is connected by a series of staircases and alleyways. We wandered Atrani, which consists primarily of staircases, staircases, and more staircases. Exhausted, we repaired to the main piazza for some gelato (Claire) and Peroni (Bill). Maggie ran about the piazza, playing with her truck. After returning to Amalfi, we had dinner at La Perla before calling it a night.
