Day 6 -- Positano & Amalfi Beach

Today was a day of ups-and-downs. The ups included beautiful weather and a trip via ferry to Positano, featuring beautiful views of both towns and the coast in between. In Positano, Maggie stuck her feet in the sea, which was a bit frigid for her liking, and enjoyed a delicious "graffi" (an Italian doughnut). Back in Amalfi, we had a great time playing on the town's rocky beach, and Maggie had fun kicking her beach ball around the Dogi Piazza, as though she were a real Italian kid.

Today's downs included a hike that we were forced to abandon before even making it out of town -- there was some sort of sewage-smell that Claire's pregnant nose couldn't handle. And we had to leave dinner before ordering, as Maggie was not on her best behavior. Back at the apartment, dinner was interrupted again by a fire in our kitchen. The lesson learned was never to preheat a toaster oven while it is being used to store a bag of bread (or perhaps never to store a bag of bread in a toaster oven).
