Day 7 -- Salerno

Today began with a relaxing morning -- Maggie slept until 9:15! We took the late ferry to Salerno and walked along the city's lengthy seaside promenade and then through the city streets. Maggie was napping in the backpack, and we just plopped her down to enjoy a delicious late lunch at Cafe Line (featuring the only No-English menu we encountered during our trip). Before boarding our return ferry, we came upon a wonderful little pastry shop with one of the tastiest desserts of our trip. The ferry home was beautiful -- the interior was all wood and looked more like an old-fashioned club bar than a boat. Back in Amalfi, we enjoyed some pastries and cappuccino at an outdoor cafe, and Claire cooked a tremendous dinner of orechiette and sausage.

Thanks for the day-by-day blog and pictures. Now I REALLY want to go to Italy. When Baby Sister is bigger Maggie can teach her all she needs to know and you will go again!
